RALEIGH, NC, August 08, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Centennial Campus, NC State University's award-winning research park and technology campus has added another partner to its growing list of companies, government agencies and non-profit organizations collaborating with the university.
All Systems Broadband (www.allsystemsbroadband.com) is a provider of custom-engineered solutions and an independent manufacturer of connectivity products for the evolving voice video and data industries. The company designs and manufactures connectivity solutions based on the customers' requirements; provides existing products including: HDMI, A/V cables, fiber cables and components.
The California-based company is moving into the newly developed Keystone Science Center, a 72,000-square foot, privately developed building located near the entrance to the campus. All Systems will join the FREEDM Center, Biotechnology Training and Manufacturing Education Center (BTEC) and WebAssign as tenants of the building. The FREEDM Center is a multi-university National Science Foundation-sponsored research project focusing on distributed energy. BTEC is one of the largest biomanufacturing training programs in the U.S. and WebAssign is an Internet-based homework assignment service.
"We're very excited to have All Systems Broadband as a new partner," said Leah Burton, director of partnership development for the Centennial Campus Partnership Office. "They bring a new and different area of expertise to campus that we've never had before. We're looking forward to our collaborations with them."
Centennial Campus is a 1,314-acre research park and campus owned and operated by NC State University and located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Home to more than 60 corporate, government and non-profit partners, the campus is also home to about 2,500 employees, 1,300 faculty and researchers, and more than 3,500 students during the academic calendar year. Four colleges of the university have a significant presence on Centennial Campus, including the College of Engineering, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of Textiles and the College of Education. The Graduate School is also located on campus.
NC State is the largest four-year institution in North Carolina, with more than 31,000 students and 8,000 faculty and staff. The university's research expenditures are approaching more than $325 million annually, with almost 70 percent of faculty engaged in sponsored research and 2,500 graduate students supported by research grants. NC State is ranked third among all public universities (without medical schools) in industry-sponsored research expenditures.
