Online marketing is an increasingly key client-development tool for law firms. Aiken and co-host Erica Butcher, FindLaw Senior Client Development Consultant, will discuss how a solo or small law firm can create a successful Internet presence that makes the most of its marketing budget in today's economic conditions.
The webcast also will address how consumers search for attorneys online, and provide straightforward tips and information on key topics such as site design, content and return on investment.
Peter Aiken is a former federal agent and prosecutor with more than 30 years of trial experience. He has served in the United States Treasury Department as an agent with the Intelligence Division and as a trial attorney in the U.S. Attorney's office in Miami, handling a range of federal violations including tax, drug and firearm prosecutions. Aiken has participated in approximately 200 jury trials, from homicides to racketeering, and has represented clients from all walks of life including congressmen, judges, clergy and the homeless. He has also represented numerous witnesses and targets before federal grand juries. Aiken has experience in marketing his practice to distinctly different audiences and has been involved in legal Internet marketing for years. He is responsible for his firm's two large websites and a third is being constructed. Aiken earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami and an undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina.
