BOURNEMOUTH, ENGLAND, October 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of A Question of Sport can enjoy the show live on stage in Bournemouth later this year.
To celebrate its 40th year on air, the popular BBC1 sports quiz is embarking on its first ever live stage tour from late October.
Due to arrive at the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday November 6th, the show will feature presenter Sue Barker alongside team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell.
"I can't wait to get on the road," Barker said earlier this year.
"We're looking forward to welcoming some of the biggest names in sport to the tour."
People heading to the show from Bournemouth hotels can expect to see former England footballer Graeme Le Saux, cricket legend Alec Stewart and 400m runner Iwan Thomas taking their places alongside the team captains.
There will also be a surprise in store for audience members on the south coast, as the fourth special guest star is yet to be confirmed.
According to the producers, the format of the show will be similar to the TV version, but with an added element of interaction.
"Doing it live means we can interact more directly with the audience, which will make the show a lot more exciting," Tufnell explained.
Tickets for A Question of Sport Live are available for GBP35 and the show is due to get underway at 19:00 GMT.
