/24-7PressRelease/ - LYMINGTON, UK, November 11, 2006 - The Old Stables in Lyndhurst is one of Halcyon's prime properties, sitting in the capital of the New Forest and accommodating 20 guests. Online in time for the Christmas getaway, families will now have the opportunity to spend time together in this converted and modernised stable block.
The conversion itself has been carried out in a timely and tasteful manner, with many square metres of reclaimed wooden floorboards being sourced and refurbished to bring back their former glory, the large original fireplace of the holiday cottage being utilised in the main lounge with exposed beams and reclaimed bricks and clay peg tiles being used on the extension.
Mixing the old with the new at the Old Stables makes for a very comfortable home with all the modern conveniences you would expect, whilst having the feel of tradition and history all around you - looking out of the hayloft bedroom you have an excellent view of St Michael and All Angels Church - and Lyndhurst itself is a town steeped in history.
Jacquie Taylor, Bookings Manager now for over four years at Halcyon Holiday Cottages said: "We are getting very positive feedback from our first guests since work has completed to sleep the 20 - we're very pleased to have it finished in time for the Christmas getaway at a time when so many families like to stay together."
