LONDON, ENGLAND, April 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With guests' help Center Parcs, the leading provider of holidays in the uk have been raising much-needed funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity's Beds for Bedz appeal. Beds for Bedz aims to keep families together by providing accommodation for parents whilst their children are undergoing treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Center Parcs has been supporting Beds for Bedz by inviting their guests to opt-in and make a donation when booking their short break holiday and then matching the amount donated.
The partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity started in May 2010 and had a target of GBP100,000 to be raised by May 2011 which was smashed in January. Now Center Parcs has started a second year in partnership with the charity and hopes to raise more than GBP250,000 over the 2 year partnership.
Center Parcs' Chief Executive Officer, Martin Dalby, said "The kindness of our guests is incredible; they have donated over GBP70,000 in 2010 with every penny matched by us. We hope that by continuing this partnership, we will raise much-needed funds to keep families together at Great Ormond Street Hospital".
Great Ormond Street Hospital looks after many of the country's sickest children. More than 50 per cent of the Hospital's UK patients come from outside London. We recognise that it is vital for parents to be close by their child during what is often the most stressful times of their lives.
