For 2011 the theme is 'Encounter Cultures' and the city's international residents will be presenting the performance arts that their countries are famous for.

The schedule is set to include live music concerts of Irish folk, reggae, gospel choirs, salsa and the mambo. Theatrical productions of famous plays incorporating national costumes and artistry will be another feature and visitors can enjoy sampling the delicacies from regions worldwide.

The festival runs between 19th and 21st August 2011 and even in the evening the activities don't let up as Dresden's finest DJs perform live and there are various other live concerts as well as an adventure world for children.
