Death Interrupted stars Charity Rahmer (Leeches, Malibu Spring Break, Cheerleader Massacre), Cecelia Specht (Neighbours, Dexter), Carmen Argenziano (Godfather II), Ernest Harden, Jr. (J. Edgar, An American Carol), and Moe Irvin (Grey's Anatomy). Death Interrupted is a new dark comedy about living out death in Purgatory. The film is a first part in a series, and introduces a cast full of characters from the past to the present. Todd Ciaciuch, a veteran filmmaker with numerous awards behind the camera including five for Death Interrupted, describes the show as "an allegory set in Purgatory poking fun at the many redundancies in modern life".
The film recently won two Accolade Awards for best pilot series and a leading actress award for Cecelia Specht who plays the mythical character "Dumah" in the film. Other awards include "Best Pilot" at Worldfest-Houston Film Festival, two Indie Awards, and a Telly Award.
Death Interrupted is set for release in Asian and European territories starting on August 15th, 2011 at the movie's website watchdeath.com. The film will be Geo-blocked in North America until the DVD is released later in 2011.
