LAKE PLEASANT, NY, October 31, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Oak Mountain Ski Area will open for the season by Christmas Day "as long as the weather cooperates," Speculator Mayor Letty Rudes announced today. The tubing hill is expected to open in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Season passes are on sale now through Dec. 1st, starting at $263 for an adult (13 through 64). Family passes for up to five people start at $578 and junior (6 through 12) and senior (65 through 69) passes start at $173. Combo passes that include tubing as well as skiing are also on sale. Residents of stake-holder communities in Hamilton County receive a 25% discount on season passes.
Individual full day lift tickets for adults will be $34 and for juniors and seniors, $23. Half day rates are available. Children under 5 with a ticketed adult and seniors 70 or over ski free. Stakeholder community residents can ski for $10 on Sundays.
To apply for season passes, visit www.OakMountainSki.com and click on "rates" or pick up a form at the Village of Speculator offices Monday through Friday during business hours.
Skiing and other Adirondacks attractions at Oak Mountain will be open Fridays through Sundays plus Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and holiday weeks, including Christmas week and Presidents Day week. Ski lessons, tubing and special events will continue during the 2011-2012 season.
Oak Mountain is a family ski area ideal for Adirondack vacations. Situated in Hamilton County, Oak Mountain provides 14 trails served by a quad chair lift and two T-bars.
