COPIAGUE, NY, January 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Over the holidays Long Island Exchange Columnist Cognac Wellerlane attended a holiday celebration at the House of Savoia. The event was hosted by suit and costume designer Michelle Savoia and Vanity Fair editor George Wayne. It was held on Essex Street in the lower east side of Manhattan.
The House of Savoia is known for its custom suits and men's apparel and Savoia is famous for designing costumes for Broadway shows. The event was sponsored by Van Gogh Vodka, and cocktail courtesy by Molinari. Among those who attended were a variety of celebrities, such as models, actors, and photographers.
During her interview with HBO "Sopranos" star Dominic Chianese, Wellerlane uncovered his Bronx roots and ongoing charity organization. Chianese, who also stars in the series "Boardwalk Empire," is dedicated to improving the lives of nursing home residents through the arts. "He made me a beautiful wedding suit," spoke Chianese of Savoia during his interview with Wellerlane, "...he's very passionate, that's why I love it." After being told by Wellerlane that he is debonair, Chianese responded: "I believe men should wear what they feel like."
Wellerlane also interviewed the artistic visionary Michelle Savoia and commented on the fabulous event. "You make it fabulous," Savoia replied, before telling Wellerlane of his plans to appear on an exciting and educational new reality television show.
