/24-7PressRelease/ - March 15, 2007 - On January 1st, 2007, Professor Edward Felten, one of the country's premiere computer scientists, joined the Elysium Digital team as a Consulting Computer Scientist. Dr. Felten will now be doing all of his litigation consulting and expert testimony through Elysium Digital.
Dr. Felten is Professor of Computer Science and Public Affairs at Princeton University and founding Director of Princeton's Center for Information Technology Policy. His research includes computer security and privacy, especially relating to media and consumer products, as well as technology law and policy.
Dr. Felten was the lead computer science expert witness for the Department of Justice in the Microsoft antitrust case, and has testified in other important lawsuits. He has testified before the Senate Commerce Committee on digital television technology and regulation and before the House Administration Committee on electronic voting. In 2004, Scientific American magazine named him to its list of fifty worldwide science and technology leaders. He serves on the Board of Directors and Advisory Board of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Executive Committee of the ACM U.S. Public Policy Committee. He has received numerous honors and awards including the Mercury Seven Foundation Fellowship, the AT&T Ph.D. Foundation Fellowship, the NSF National Young Investigator award, the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship, and the EFF Pioneer Award.
