Thomas M. Shimshak, MD, Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Health Care Administration

Dr. Shimshak is an interventional cardiologist and has been in practice for 25 years. He received his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee in 1980. He also completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiology at the Medical College from 1980-1987 and an Advanced Angioplasty Fellowship at the prestigious Mid America Heart Institute, St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, MO in 1987-1988. For the past 8 years he has been affiliated with Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare and practices in Milwaukee and Racine, WI. He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Institute and Chair of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints.

Dr. Shimshak is recognized as a national and international expert and thought leader in his field. He specializes in clinical cardiology and interventional therapy of advanced coronary and peripheral vascular diseases. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Shimshak has distinguished himself throughout his career by his interests in physician education, clinical research and as a consultant to industry. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is a member of the American Medical Association and a supporter of the American Heart Association.
