Capturing those great sporting moments

However, South Wales based company Sportscasts have created a very unique way to remember those sporting achievements by creating replicas of the shoes that were actually worn on those historic days by the very people who wore them.

Sean Thomas, director of Sportscasts has been creating these works of sporting art for over 5 years.

"Sportscasts has dedicated its time to creating lasting reminders of athletes and sports people past and present. Our philosophy is a very basic one, to design and create quality ceramic replicas of athletes actual sports shoes or treasured items that they wore whilst making sporting history."

January 2005 marks the fifth anniversary of Sportscasts and sees the launch of their new website http://www.sportscasts.co.uk .

A quick check of the site shows that Sportscasts have worked with some of the very top sports men and women in the world, from David Beckham to Michael Jordan . Only those who have achieved the very best in their field are privileged enough to have a Sportscast created for them.

The new site was created by Cardiff based Web Design Company, Lobster-iT Ltd (www.lobsterwebdesign.co.uk) and had to blend the emotion surrounding these highly prized items of sport history with a desire to present Sportscasts in a professional manner.

"Lobster-iT was asked to re-design the Sportscasts web site to give it a more professional appearance and to improve its visibility to search engines but we were also challenged to add on-line purchasing in a way that presented these unusual items in their best possible light and enthused over their importance in world sport." "Throughout the project we tried to make sure that these amazing items of sports memorabilia took centre stage and were shown to their best potential".
