Covington Who's Who Selects Denise Armstrong as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

    HOLLYWOOD, FL, January 17, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Denise Armstrong, President of Alopecia Support Instructional Services, has been selected as an Executive Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Denise Armstrong's commitment to excellence in Non-Profit.

Denise Armstrong, who began working in her field in 2005, decided to get into non-profit after a physically painful bus experience that left her wanting her to do more to help others suffering Alopecia Areata.

As an active advocate for the disease, and also as president of her non-profit organization, Armstrong provides material, resources, and a platform for parents with children, young adults, and adults that are suffering. She holds meetings that include guest speakers, including doctors, cosmetologists, school nurses, teachers, and other professionals that are interested in providing information and personal experiences to others that are also suffering.

Suffering since she was nineteen-years-old, Armstrong has been left with no hair or follicles anywhere on her body. Her condition is specifically called Alopecia Univeralis.

"I have chosen to embark on this mission to educate the community as well as the world," Armstrong said.

Armstrong is a member of Education Support Employees Association, Nevada State Education Association, and the National Education Association. All three of these organizations have passed a bill, called NBI 10 Armstrong/Holloway, to explore ways to promote a better understanding of diseases that impact the learning environment as a result of the emotional functioning of students' diseases and health conditions not widely publicized.
