    /24-7PressRelease/ - COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, September 01, 2007 - The 2007 Komen Colorado Springs Race for the Cure will occur on Sunday September 9, 2007 at the Garden of the Gods Park in Colorado Springs. As an in-kind sponsor, the Colorado Springs Marriott encourages area residents and businesses to partake in this event in any way possible.

The Komen Race for the Cure Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. Including a 5K run, 5K walk, and family walk, the Colorado Springs event will raise money towards local and national breast cancer awareness and prevention.

Run, walk, sponsor a runner, or volunteer in another capacity for the event. If you're unable to attend the event, then register for the "Sleep-In for the Cure." If you register by September 4th and raise $100 or more, your name will be put in a drawing for a special "Sleep-In" for two on September 8th at the Colorado Springs Marriott. The winner of this drawing will also receive dinner for two at the Marriott on September 8th and breakfast-in bed for two on September 9th.
