For those who savor great food and wine, what better way to celebrate an autumn evening than with a fabulous dinner and perfectly paired wines?
On October 3, Sam & Harry's Schaumburg, IL restaurant, and Elaine Honig will host the Honig Wine Dinner. The appetizer and wine reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. All five courses will be paired with a Honig Vineyard wine. Ms. Honig will be available to discuss her family's wines and chef Humphrey will talk with guests about the pairing of the menu. The cost is $95 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
Since 1964 Honig Vineyard and Winery has been producing high quality wines. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, the company is still family-owned and operated. The Honig family works actively to maintain a farming system that is in harmony with the environment. Elaine Honig joined the business in 1986, and now serves as the creative director, responsible for marketing, branding and public relations. She will bring some of the best wines this Napa Valley vineyard has to offer to complement the bold, rich tastes of each course.
The menu that Chef Humphrey has created for the Honig Wine Dinner at Sam & Harry's restaurant in Shaumburg, Illinois showcases his culinary talents as well as the versatility and depth of Honig wines. The following are the course in order of which they will be served:
