Robert Coronado, MD, FACC, Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Cardiology

    REDDING, CA, April 25, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert Coronado, Cardiologist of The Coronado Vein Center, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Robert Coronado MD, FACC, Peripheral Arterial and Vein Specialist, is President and founder of Northern Heart and Vascular Institute as well as the Coronado Vein Center. He has lectured both nationally and internationally in the field of cardiology, as well as on venous vascular disease. Dr. Coronado is recognized by his peers having a unique expertise in peripheral arterial disease. In the course of his duties, he is responsible for running the center and training its employees, delivering lectures on the venous and peripheral vascular system. Dr. Coronado is also the president and founder of the Northern Heart and Vascular Institute. He has more than 20 years of experience in treating every part of the body, as well as working with pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr. Coronado attributes his success to the experience and wisdom of his mentor, William Bommer, as well as his own education, personality, bedside manner, and medical competence. He became involved in his profession because he was always interested in medicine and had strong mentors who guided and advised him to get involved in his current field.

Dr. Coronado completed his physician residency in internal medicine from the University of Arizona, and he completed a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Arizona. In addition, he spent two years conducting peripheral interventional and disease work at the Cardiovascular Institute of South Louisiana. Dr. Coronado earned a degree in internal medicine from the University of Arizona's College of Medicine, and a degree in cardiology and medicine from the National University of Mexico City. He is a member of the American Medical Association and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising and spending time with his family. In years to come, Dr. Coronado would like to have the best vein, arterial and venous center in the country, and make a dent in awareness and improvement of diseases, and improve the level of treatment available to patients.
