Barbara Feit Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year for Excellence in Accounting

    GREELEY, CO, April 25, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barbara Feit, Owner of Barb's Accounting Service, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Executive/Professional/Entrepreneur of the Year in accounting. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

An accounting professional for the last 35 years, Ms. Feit is a successful entrepreneur; she has owned Barb's Accounting Service for her entire career. Currently, she offers accounting services to small businesses, working both from home and an office. While working from home, Ms. Feit picks up client work, balances bank statements, posts entries, and provides monthly financial statements. She also manages payroll responsibilities and collects rent for a clients involved in rental properties. Ms. Feit is in contact with the client's tax preparer and is on hand to answer questions regarding statement balances.

She holds an Associate of Applied Science in small business management from Aims Community College, choosing to move into the accounting profession because she has always been good with numbers. She discovered these talents while growing up and forming a farming and agriculture background. Ms. Feit's mother kept the books for her father's business in the industry. Ms. Feit would sit alongside her mother as she worked, trying to come up with the correct numbers.

In addition to her work with Barb's Accounting, Ms. Feit belongs to the Lions Club. She is the treasurer of her Lions district, as well as a former District Governor. She has also attended the USA Canada Leadership Forum, which does training for the Lions Club members. She also serves on the Colorado Lions Foundation Board.

She has done a great deal of project coordination for both the Lions and Lioness Clubs. As district governor, she was responsible for the oversight 48 clubs, and in recognition of her work, she received an International President Certificate of Appreciation. Ms. Feit has also been awarded a Melvin Jones Fellowship for her dedicated humanitarian services; this is the highest award one may receive from the Lions Clubs International.

Ms. Feit and her husband have also been honored with an award for 13 years of commitment to migrant families. Together, they work with the migrant community, and they are responsible for having coordinated an eye screening program for these families.
