Worldwide Who's Who Names Carla C. Carter Professional of the Year

Carter, President of Carter & Associates Incorporated, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Business Management Consulting. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

In 1989, Ms. Carter founded Carter & Associates Inc., a management consulting company. For nearly three decades, she has honed her skill set for strategic direction by working with service, manufacturing, public sector, and nonprofit clients in industries ranging from high tech, to education and finance. Seven of her clients have won 22 national and state awards for performance excellence and quality. Having written numerous magazine and journal articles, Ms. Carter authored "Human Resources Management and the Total Quality Imperative" and co-authored "Making Measurement Work." Experienced working with clients throughout the United States, she has developed systems to influence positive change throughout businesses, schools, or organizations which lead to improved teamwork, productivity and quality results. Ms. Carter has trained professional staff for both Arizona State University and University of Phoenix.

As president of Carter & Associates Inc., Ms. Carter assesses the needs of her clients and assists them in developing projects for strategic planning. An expert in business process improvement, she also provides services in performance measurement and organizational assessment, as well as design and restructuring. Drawing on her skill set for high performance and change implementation, Ms. Carter has succeeded in establishing an approach time line for staff which aids in their implementation and monitoring of results.

Through strategic direction, she offers assistance with class management, leadership, and team and employee training. Ms. Carter is also knowledgeable in marketing, supervising, and benchmarking. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Western Michigan University and an MBA from the Executive MBA program at Arizona State University. Ms. Carter is a certified project management professional through the Project Management Institute and a certified performance technologist through the International Society for Performance Improvement. She is also certified in various supervisory development programs and call center auditing from Purdue University.

Ms. Carter keeps abreast of changes in her field through her affiliation with professional organizations. She is currently involved with American Society for Quality, American Society for Training and Development, Organizational Development Network, Society of Human Resource Management, Arizona Quality Alliance, Knowledge Management Forum, and the Scottsdale Unified School District Blue Ribbon Advisory Committee. Recognized as a leader in management consultancy, Ms. Carter was also honored as one of seven leading women in the quality field today by Quality Digest. In 2013, she was chosen as an Outstanding Professional of the Year for Business Management Consulting by Worldwide Who's Who. She feels her consistent success and longevity in her industry can be most aptly attributed to authenticity, an ability to implement change, and a history of creating strong, sustainable results for clients. In the coming years, Ms. Carter plans to expand her business services to reach an international demographic.
