Ms. El Kelish has 35 years of professional experience, with two years as chief executive of Development Aid Technology Advisors, Inc., a Canadian company that helps governments in developing countries bolster their information technology infrastructures and improve the capability of their electronic platforms. With expertise in business development, financial planning and sales, Ms. El Kelish interfaces with presidents, kings and government ministers to ascertain their technology needs. In addition to marketing D.A.T.A. through embassy-level functions, she is responsible for recruiting, hiring and training personnel.
Ms. El Kelish oversees a 140-member team of engineers and highly qualified managers working at the company's technology center in Egypt. Strategically placed at the geographic crossroads of Africa and the Middle East, D.A.T.A. personnel strive to help government agencies adopt cloud computing technology and automate functions including federal tax collection, real estate appraisal and mass media monitoring. They also work to create and implement large-scale database systems.
Prior to founding D.A.T.A., Ms. Kelish managed a business franchise for a number of years. She also worked for the global air transport firm Air Canada.
Ms. El Kelish attributes her professional success to her work ethic, her persistence and her ability to face and overcome challenges. She would also like to thank her daughter, Rhonda El Kelish for her continuous support and understanding for all the long hours spent without mommy while she builds her career and businesses, and for the beautiful family and grandchildren she gave her.
