MACUNGIE, PENNSYLVANIA, June 10, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda K. Maxon, Fund Raising Consultant and Strategist for MAXXPICS, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fundraising.
MAXXPICS is a fundraising company that provides consulting, marketing and strategy. Ms. Maxon has 15 years of experience in the industry and a year in her current role. Her areas of expertise include creative collateral development and support cases. She is involved with creating brochures, proposals, invitations, program journals and newsletters, which has given her excellent skills in photography and PowerPoint.
The crux of her work deals with hosting fundraising events, applying for grants, social media fundraising, campaigns, major gift solicitation, special events, creating and implementing strategy, helping organizations identify their public and effectively communicate to their target audience, developing leadership teams and creating mission and fundraising collateral and marketing materials.
Ms. Maxon attributes her success to her determination, her passion for faith-based ministry, and the teams she has assembled. She became involved in her profession because it evolved from her vast experiences with faith-based nonprofits. She loves to tell the story of how people are helped, hope is restored, and lives are changed through the missions and work of the organization her work promotes.
She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and art from Concordia University-Chicago in 1974 and a master's degree in media communication from Webster University in 1983. She is also a Certified Fund Raising Executive and a board member of ALDE. She won the ALDE Creativity Award in 2010 and 2002. She is also a board member of the St. Stephen Outreach Center, a choir member and youth group and women's group leader at Christ Lutheran Church, Allentown, and a literary tutor of the MAPS Program for McKinley Elementary School.
In the future, Ms. Maxon believes she will be helping nonprofits articulate their mission to the public, further developing fundraising strategy and writing program objectives. In particular, she will have met the fundraising goal for the "Reclaimed for Christ" campaign, instituted a computer lab for the literacy program at the St. Stephen Outreach Center, and helped other nonprofits reach similar goals
