Mr. Lepage has 42 years of experience as a chef, with four years as the executive chef for Cuisine Jean-Bernard, where he expertly offers his skills in management, products buying, the development of new trends and products, and the promotion of local products. Born in Chevenille, Quebec, Mr. Lepage grew up and lived most of his life in Prescott-Russell. He has been cooking since 1972, and has held several chef positions in establishments ranging from Iles de la Madeleine, to the Great White North. Throughout the years, he has traveled and savored his way across Canada and France. He is a consultant in food quality supervision for the government in the Arctic, a wood-fired cooking specialist, and the owner and operator of a catering service. Additionally, he serves as a consultant in menu making, helps in the development of new trends, and supports junior cooks and chefs to achieve their goal in culinary field.
He attributes his success to his passion for what he does. He says, "Good food comes from the heart first, then the knowledge." He became involved in his profession because he always had a passion for it, especially for his clientele; he likes seeing their smiling faces after the food is served to them, and as they enjoy it.
Mr. Lepage completed coursework in food planning and costing at Crosby Food Canada and has a high school education. An active member of his field, he serves as the national vice president for the Eastern Region of the Canadian Culinary Federation. Outside of his professional career, he enjoys the outdoors, reading, conducting research and spending time in the kitchen. In five years, Mr. Lepage plans to be in an administrative position.
