UDS Announces Enhanced eStore Functionality

    LANCASTER, PA, July 03, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- United Disabilities Services recently announced its online store has moved to a new e-commerce platform with increased functionality and enhanced customer buying experience. The UDS eStore sells accessibility products for home modifications for the disabled, veterans and those who are aging in place.

According to the National Association of Home Builders, the aging in place remodeling market is in the $20 - $25 billion range, which represents about 10% of the $214 billion home improvement industry. The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) reports that 70% of those who remodeled did so for safety reasons.

Customers can see their shipping costs earlier in the shopping cart process and monitor their shipping costs as they add items to their shopping cart. A shipping calculator will allow for immediate changes and reflect the appropriate shipping costs.

Since home modifications projects are larger in size and scope, customers will be happy to know that they can contribute to a project through the new Gift Certificate program. Gift certificates are immediately available and a UDS eStore branded Gift Certificate is emailed to the recipient, with a copy sent to you for your records.

Pinterest lovers will be delighted to be able to pin products in one easy click. Contractors can create a project board with the UDS eStore products and consumers can build a wish list on Pinterest to organize their favorite selections.

The products offered on the eStore focus primarily on bathroom modifications and include shower seats, grab bars, open showers, wet room systems, water containment products, home modification showers, shower pans and half-height caregiver doors.
