Ever eager to pursue a career in law, Ms. Carroll completed a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, at the honors college of Miami University of Ohio, a Master of Arts at Stanford University, Ph.D. studies at Cornell University, and a JD at UCLA School of Law. Upon completion of her education, she embarked on a career in law which has spanned the past 28 years.

In 2012, Ms. Carroll opened Law Office of Laura J. Carroll in Los Angeles, California. The legal services firm specializes in aiding companies, banks, manufacturers, property developers, and individuals on an international scale. With nearly three decades of experience, Ms. Carroll has become proficient in environmental liabilities associated with real estate property contamination. As owner of the law firm, her responsibilities include litigation and trials in state and federal courts, environmental compliance counseling, habitat and wetlands issues, and civil litigation including mediation and arbitration. Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Carroll has developed extensive knowledge of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act. Passionate about environmental law, she seeks to defend civil and criminal actions against regulatory agencies. Drawing on her previous work experience, including a position as partner for Tuttle & Taylor, Ms. Carroll has developed a skill set for leadership and staff development.

Recognized for years of invaluable contributions to the law industry, Ms. Carroll has garnered various awards. From 2007-2012, she was voted by her peers as a California Super Lawyer in Environmental Law and Business Litigation each consecutive year. In 2010 and 2013, she was voted by peers as One of the Top 50 Woman Lawyers in Southern California and, as Top Business Counsel in Environmental Law for 2011. Named as the Top Counsel in Corporate Environmental Law, she was also inducted into Worldwide Who's Who as a lifetime member. Since her inclusion, Ms. Carroll has been selected as a VIP member twice. Away from the demands of her work, Ms. Carroll utilizes her undergraduate and graduate degrees in music to perform cello and viola da gamba. Throughout her life, she has played with various ensembles and was a soloist at the Carmel Bach Festival prior to attending law school. Ms. Carroll is a former president and board member of the Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra. In addition, she is the president of the board of directors of the Hutchins Consort.

Ms. Carroll is professionally affiliated with the Los Angeles County Bar Association, California Bar Association, and a former co-chairwoman for the environmental section of the California Real Estate Bar. Naturally philanthropic,she mentors teenage girls and is an avid supporter of museums, child services entities, and research for breast cancer and Alzheimer's disease.
