The Electric Daisy Carnival and Lovebox Weekender Provide the Chance for Some Unadulterated Partying in London This Weekend

A music festival of a smaller scale can be found at Walpole Park this weekend. The Ealing Blues Festival has been appropriately held at Walpole Park since 1987, which was the birthplace of British Rhythm & Blues, a scene that started in Ealing in 1962.

Away from the music, a couple of film festivals can also be enjoyed in London this weekend. The London Indian Film Festival returns for its fourth year and there's cause for celebration, with 2013 marking 100 years of Indian cinema. Encouraging a stir of imagination and a challenge of intellect, The Wapping Project in east London hosts the second instalment of The Icarus Project this weekend. Running across three Saturdays in July (13th, 20th and 27th), the series of events welcomes a selection of leading thinkers to host a range of talks and encourage guests to get caught up in the heat of the debate. This Saturday invites columnist, novelist and human rights activist, Joan Smith; author and Literary Editor of The Times, Erica Wagner; and architecture critic of the Observe, Rowan Moore. All the talks are held in the gardens and are accompanied by a glass of Pimm's.

Having hosted four previous events, the Pop Up Ping Pong team return once more and they're moving up in the world, literally. Taking place on the 29th floor of the Millbank Tower, visitors can expect all the usual offerings - ping pong, booze, food and movies - but this time it will be set against the striking backdrop of London and boasts even more ping pong action.
