Kate Corrigan Named a VIP Member of Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Consulting

    CHICAGO, June 24, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kate Corrigan, Associate Partner of the Global Center of Competency for Energy & Utilities at IBM, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Corrigan is an executive consultant of IBM's Global Center of Competency (CoC) for Energy & Utilities with a particular area of responsibility in process design and to-be process modeling for Smart environments. She has more than 18 years of experience planning, designing and delivering solutions that leverage emerging and legacy technologies to meet such strategic business objectives as cost reduction, process improvement and the targeting of new customer segments. Ms. Corrigan has the ability to combine strong technical and business expertise with the capability to focus multi-disciplined teams in creating cost-effective solutions.

A seasoned professional, Ms. Corrigan has eight years of professional experience, with two years as an associate partner of the Global Center of Competency for Energy & Utilities at IBM. Over the years, she has established herself as an expert in the area of business process design. In the course of her duties, she is responsible for ensuring prompt global delivery of Smart Meter/Smart Grid strategies and Smart Meter/Smart Grid implementation delivery, as well as global support for local teams delivering Smart Meter/Smart Grid proposals and projects. She is also charged with managing process design and to-be process modeling for smart environments.

Ms. Corrigan received a Master of International Business from the University of South Carolina, as well as a bachelor's degree in computer science, earned from Clarke University, and a bachelor's degree in French, also earned from Clarke University. She is a member of Women in Technology and an alumna of Clarke University. In recognition of her hard work and achievements, she was inducted into the IBM 100% Club. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scuba diving, traveling, and skiing. In years to come, Ms. Corrigan would like to become a partner with IBM.
