James M. Kessler, President Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Property Development and Operations

    SAN FRANCISCO, July 25, 2013, James Kessler, President of Stonehenge Property Group, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in property development and operations.

Mr. Kessler has 35 years of professional experience, with eight years as the founder and president of Stonehenge Property Group. In the course of his duties, he is responsible for securing clients, site selection, overseeing all projects (including design and budgeting) and leasing, entitlements, public hearings, approvals and financial analysis. In addition, he supervises all in-house construction, and works with lenders to negotiate loans with clients. Mr. Kessler attributes his success to what he teaches his students; the importance of focused hard work and interpersonal relationships, as well as integrity. He was a photographer in a U.S. Navy intelligence unit and became involved in his current profession because his career as a photographer lead him to direct sales. After returning to college, he began his career in real estate development.

Mr. Kessler received a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the board of directors of the Owens Realty Mortgage and is also a guest instructor at the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2008, Mr. Kessler participated in what would later be named by the Sacramento Business Journal as the Largest Retail Project of the year. He was also presented with the Urban Land Institute's Award of Excellence for the Richmond City Center. In addition, he participated in the San Francisco Business Times "Rehabilitation Project of the Year"; 1000 Van Ness, San Francisco, and he received an award of merit from the American Planning Association for the Marin City USA redevelopment project. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, as well as camping and fishing. In years to come, Mr. Kessler intends to continue to build projects for his own account as well as assist other owners and institutions in overcoming obstacles or issues with their assets. He also plans to continue teaching and mentoring new professionals entering the business.
