BOULOGNE-BILLANCOURT, FRANCE, July 29, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ --Catherine Argillier, Founder and Chairwoman of Itwell, Chairwoman of RIW Design Ltd, and Founder and Chairwoman of QualiWell, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in entrepreneurship.
With 15 years of experience gained in a company specializing in clinical trial management on behalf of large pharmaceutical companies, Ms. Argillier has grown aware of two main issues: there is a lack of information aimed at patients involved in clinical trials, and pharmaceutical companies focus their attention on physicians while forgetting how important the retail pharmacists are in the coordinated care system.
Based on the premise that making information aimed at patients more knowledgeable in order to promote the safe use of medicines is crucial in the health sector, Ms. Argillier made the decision from 2007 to start her own company ReaditWell, which later became ItWell in 2007, to develop a method to enhance the readability of medicine leaflets with the inclusion of lay people in the process of document enhancement. She has been working since then for a large number of pharmaceutical companies.
She then carried on a diversification of ITWELL's activities focusing on supporting patients as well as health professionals, the aim being to reduce drug misuse, promote health through screening and prevention, health education and patient empowerment. For the health professionals it can result in the end in the improvement of the performance of health procedures such as clinical trial processes and help lower health budget deficit.
In an industry experiencing a great change where a specific law (HSPT: Hospitals, Patients, Health, Territories) has been voted in 2009 in France with its particular development on direct patient therapeutic education by retail pharmacists, Itwell is working to develop consulting offers aimed at these health professionals particularly via web-based materials, serious games and multimedia applications with 3-D animations.
The business has widened its range of services with patient-centered health and chronic disease information and marketing such as patient education materials in formats other than standard print, with the inclusion of lay people to increase readability and understanding. Usability testing is also provided, in order to give direct input on how real users use the systems, as well as translation, localization and linguistic services (validation of PROs), in over 80 languages, for patient organizations, patient advocacy groups, regulatory authorities and government agencies.
The company promotes its skills in the fields of readability enhancement and localization across numerous activity lines. All of these, and many other factors have positioned Itwell as an innovative company and should support its growth for the years to come.
Ms. Argillier founded QualiWell in 2010, and served as its Chairwoman during the same year. She facilitated consultancy, training and quality assurance services for pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies. The business ran as an independent company in the field of quality.
Ms. Argillier also facilitated the start of RIW Design ltd in London for establishing a presence in the European Union. In 2010, she served as a founder and chairwoman in this company that specializes in information design, readability testing, translation and linguistic validation services.
In an exclusive interview, Ms. Argillier said: "The next stage of our enterprise is expanding to new geographical markets such as Asian market segments in health care, cosmetic and food sectors as we develop experience, expertise, create awareness and demand."
"As service provider, we have already been able to support the expansion project (pre-marketing observational study) in Asia in terms of communication as one of our clients in the cosmetic sector needed our translation, localization and linguistic validation services. That is why we are also eager to meet new business partners."
