Kathleen P. Brooks Named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year for Excellence in Real Estate

    ANNAPOLIS, MD, August 6, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathleen P. Brooks, Branch Vice President of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Real Estate. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Ms. Brooks has served as branch vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage since 2007, and she has been a professional realtor for 23 years. Tasked with managing Coldwell Banker's Severna Park location and its 80 licensed agents, she has helped the office to lead in market share. In an interview with Worldwide Who's Who, Ms. Brooks outlined her plans for the future. "My goal is to continue to recruit highly professional and ethical agents dedicated to the profession of real estate."

Ms. Brooks previously sold residential real estate for 17 years in the Annapolis area & Chesapeake Bay counties. She specialized in new home sales, relocation clients, and high-end properties. She successfully marketed and sold homes in all price ranges, but earned a reputation for selling upper-priced properties. Examples include the sale of the highest-priced property in Queen Anne's Co. in 1999 and the sale of the highest-priced property in Anne Arundel Co. in 2005. The latter sale still remains a record to date. Ms. Brooks attributes her success to hard work, perseverance and education.

Ms. Brooks sits on the board of trustees for the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County. In 2013, she co-chaired a community fundraising initiative that benefitted more than 115 nonprofits serving residents in the county. The Great Give was Anne Arundel County's inaugural 24-hour online fundraising event created to rally the community in support of local charitable causes, raising more than $606,000. In 2006, she helped found Anne Arundel Women Giving Together, a women's giving circle. She served as the association's president for two years. Over the past five years, its members have raised and distributed more than $400,000 to Anne Arundel County nonprofits. Ms. Brooks holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, which she earned in 1979 from Towson University.
