Mark Ketch Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Banking

    SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, PA, September 12, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mark Ketch, Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank and Trust Co., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in banking.

Mr. Ketch, who has 20 years of experience in the banking industry, has held his current position for the past two years. Union Bank and Trust Co. is a locally owned and independent community bank serving Schuylkill and Northumberland counties. In his role, Mr. Ketch oversees a number of operation and policy considerations for the bank, including lending and mortgage requirements, creating strategic plans, Federal Reserve compliance, business development and ensuring all initiatives are in line with the vision of the bank and in the best interest of the board, employees and customers.

Prior to his role with Union Bank and Trust Co., Mr. Ketch held a number of positions in the banking industry, including vice president of commercial lending for First National Bank of Pennsylvania and vice president of commercial lending with Leesport Bank. Throughout his career, Mr. Ketch has earned a reputation as a conscientious executive with a commitment to customer service.

Mr. Ketch attributes the long run of success he's enjoyed in the banking industry to the mentors who prepared him for a leadership position and to the great team members he's had the pleasure of working with throughout his career. In the next five years, he hopes to stay in an executive role in the financial industry.

Mr. Ketch holds a Bachelor of Science in public administration and business from Penn State University. In addition, he received a certificate in executive leadership from the Pennsylvania Bankers Association. An active participant in his field, he is a member of the Risk Management Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Bankers and the American Bankers Association. When he is not hard at work, Mr. Ketch enjoys coaching youth sports, biking and running. He also donates his time with several charities, including the School District Recreation Commission, the Pottsville Library Board and the Schuylkill Alliance for Health Care Access.
