Linda Marie Allen Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Education

    CARSON, CA, October 2, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda Marie Allen, former Substitute Teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

The flexibility of substitute teaching is what drew Miss Allen into the field of education. Although she specialized in biological science, she taught physical education, art, mathematics, English and science. She credits her successful career to her attentiveness.

Originally planning to become a veterinarian, Miss Allen earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and Pre-Veterinary Medicine in 1981 from California State Polytechnic University. In her spare time she volunteers for her church, Calvary Chapel South Bay and enjoys traveling, crocheting, knitting, arts and crafts. As of June 10, 2013, Miss Allen retired from LAUSD after 25 years of service. She plans to become a massage therapist and veterinary technician in the future.
