Michael L. Hill Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Fundraising for the FDNY

    NEW YORK, October 7, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael L. Hill, President and Chief Executive Officer of the New York State Honorary Fire Chiefs Association, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fundraising for the FDNY and the New York State Professional Firefighters Association.

Mr. Hill has 30 years of professional experience and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the New York State Honorary Fire Chiefs Association since 2008. The charitable organization provides financial assistance for education purposes to New York State firefighters and their families. On a daily basis, he fundraises and gives presentations regarding FDNY scholarships. In the near future, he plans to continue fundraising and working, as well as maintaining the image of the organization.

Mr. Hill is proud of the Association, which was founded in 1950, and its charitable contributions. "Each December, the organization awards 10 scholarships to FDNY members," he explains. "We also award six scholarships to the children of members of the NYS Professional Firefighters Association each year."

Mr. Hill and the associate members participate in the 23rd annual Street Fire Memorial's yearly remembrance of 12 firefighters who gave the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on October 17, 1966. The organization is limited to 100 members and 13 are currently on the waiting list.

"I would have to attribute my success to my positive attitude," Mr. Hill states. He became involved in his profession through his volunteer work at a fire company in Great Neck, NY. He is a member of the Vigilant Fire Company Exempt Association, New York City Fire Department Honorary Fire Officers Association and the New York State Professional Firefighters Association, where he is an honorary chief.
