Stephen Ellis Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Leadership and Excellence Transaction Management

With more than three decades of practiced experience in his field, Mr. Ellis is uniquely positioned to oversee a wide range of tasks on behalf of Knight Frank Australia. Over the past two years, in his capacity as executive chairman, he has served as the CEO of the business, managing its direction, and reporting to the regional management based in Singapore. His extensive experience in client relations and team management allow him to excel in the field of investment sales and marketing.

Mr. Ellis started his career in Australia with Jones Lang Wootton (JLL) in Sydney. He joined CBRE in 1982 and became Australian & New Zealand president and chief executive officer of the company in 2002. In 2007, he left that company to become the director and founder of Technical Real Estate before leaving to join Knight Frank Australia in 2010. His key focus with the company is on building businesses and client relationships.

Mr. Ellis had dreamed of being an architect as a child, but found that the opportunity to express himself wasn't there. He decided instead to move into his field, by obtaining a bachelor's degree in estate management from London South Bank University, which he received in 1979 and became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 1980. He remains closely associated with the profession through the RICS, where he was chairman of the Oceania board for 4 years from 2007 and continues to serve as a board member. Looking toward the future, Mr. Ellis's prime goal is to establish Knight Frank as the premium brand in Australia.
