Gourmet Deliveries Sponsorship of the Recent Cogs for Cancer Event

    NICE, FRANCE, October 22, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The event, a charity ride from Antibes to Palma, took place between the 5th and the 9th of October. Eight riders took part in the 800 kilometer charity ride.

The Gourmet Deliveries team of Gabi, Helen and Angelique provided gourmet provisions to the riders for the entire route in one of Gourmet Deliveries' refrigerated vehicles.

The eight day ride was paid for by the participants and by generous companies like Gourmet Deliveries. According to Cogs 4 Cancer, the money raised, which was over EUR100,000, would go to CRUK for cancer treatment research.

Corporate sponsorship, donations and other fundraising events were planned to raise the money for charity. Among the events, a raffle was organized with prizes including a Gourmet Deliveries luxury hamper, Magnum champagne, Brittains shopping voucher, Scape Design free garden consultation, Riviera Yacht Support case of wine, Lorenzo Cosi wash, cut and blow dry, and Julie Wibs decorated box of reed diffuser. More items were auctioned off to raise money for the cause, among them two nights for two people in a premier room at any Champneys Resort, a Terry Gilmore Arsenal signed shirt, a McClaren signed t-shirt, caps, book and bag, and Sir Chris Hoy Signed C4C cycling top.
