Jodi F. Adamson, Pharm.D., Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Pharmaceuticals

    PRATTVILLE, AL, December 19, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Jodi F. Adamson, Staff Pharmacist at Kmart Pharmacy, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in pharmaceuticals.

Passionate about medicine, and aspiring to become a pharmacist, Jodi Adamson enrolled at Huntingdon College, where she completed a bachelor's degree in liberal arts. With a certification in CPR and First Aid in hand, she went on to achieve a Doctor of Pharmacy at Auburn University. As a certified immunizer, who has also trained at MTM Technologies, Incorporated, Dr. Adamson embarked on a career in pharmaceuticals which has spanned the past 14 years.

At her career's inception, Dr. Adamson began as an intern at Kmart Pharmacy. While pursuing her doctorate, she held a position as a pharmacy technician before achieving her desire role of pharmacist. She has worked for Kmart Pharmacy for 12 years. In her current role as staff pharmacist, Dr. Adamson fills and dispenses prescriptions, counsels patients, educates customers about their medications, and provides exemplary customer care. Drawing on her work history and educational background, she has become an expert in medication regulations and interactions. Dr. Adamson is regarded as a leader in her industry and someone who is often sought after for advice.

Recognized for years of invaluable contributions to the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Adamson has garnered several awards. After a tornado ripped through and destroyed the Kmart location where she works, Dr. Adamson remained steadfast in her position and continued to care for and education patients in need. For this level of courage and bravery, she was honored with the Vision award. In 2005, she was inducted into Worldwide Who's Who as a lifetime member and selected as one of their VIP members later that year. After receiving the VIP distinction two consecutive years, Dr. Adamson was named a Professional of the Year, representing pharmaceutical services, in 2012. Her career was then featured on the Elite American website. Since her inclusion into Worldwide Who's Who, Dr. Adamson has also been named an Expert Resource and Top Female Executive in pharmaceuticals. Her success can be most aptly attributed to passion for her work, dedication, and a strong educational foundation.

Dr. Adamson is the author of "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night" and "The Ten Commandments for Pharmacists," as well as numerous poems for literary magazines. She is a member of the American Pharmacists Association and the Alabama Pharmacy Association. Naturally philanthropic, she is also charitably involved with St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, the local hospice, and various pulmonary and cancer research societies. Away from the demands of her work, Dr. Adamson enjoys sewing, collecting science fiction memorabilia, and reading such periodicals as Pharmacy Times.
