Is This The New Age of Fun? Byron Bay Funmaker

    BYRON BAY, AUSTRALIA, December 27, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- So when I hear about a new craze in town going by name of the 'Funmaker', I thought, like so many other people, that "this is the last thing we need... more excuse for people to party". So I decided to investigate ... Why? Well I have been hearing around town about the 'Funmaker', and how it is creating such a positive change in the community. So much so, that it has the full support of the police and the local mayor.

Walking through the crowd of people dancing with glowing headphones on, I see fun and great energy being generated! People dancing while Avishay and Tomas pump out live music from their van into hundreds of head phones. Without the headphones you can hear nothing, you just see people dancing. With the headphones on its like stepping into another world, you could be in any club or dance venue. There are young and older people alike dancing to the beats. This is a new age of fun, 'The Silent Disco'. No disruption to public, no noise, complaints, just dancing...

What makes this special is that this is not a drunken party! "Everyone is too busy dancing to drink," says Avishay. "This is about music, everyone wants to dance. Everyone just wants to listen to music, dance, socialise and have fun with our friends. Music is the universal language and if you give people the chance to dance and enjoy music with their friends, this brings people together united in happiness. This is my goal!" says Avishay.

December and Byron Bay Soul Street on New Years Eve
