Ann Mitchell Oversaw the Merger of Two Educational Institutions

    ASHMORE CITY, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA, December 31, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Head of Trinity Lutheran College Ann Mitchell has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in educational administration.

The first female chairman of Lutheran Education Australia, Ann Mitchell has proudly led the Trinity Lutheran College for the last 12 years. She is the inaugural principal of this amalgamated Prep to 12 College, an institution that formed through the merger of two separate schools. Between 2001 and 2002, it was Ann Mitchell's responsibility to bring these two separate organizations together under the umbrella of a single college.

Since combining these two institutions, she has expertly managed the two campuses occupied by the school, overseeing all operations related to an independent Prep to Year 12 school and, in 2013, the new Early Learning Centre. In managing these activities, Ann Mitchell displays a particular prowess for governance, leadership and management and curriculum, though she is also a highly talented educator.

Ann Mitchell draws on more than four decades of experience in the education profession and holds a master's degree in educational studies from The University of Queensland. She also holds a Graduate Diploma of Theology in Education.

Ann Mitchell is also currently a member of the Board of Management Independent Schools Queensland, elected to this position three years ago. She is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Furthermore, she maintains membership with the Australian College of Education, the Australian College of Educational Leaders, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding.
