"I'm honored to step up to the plate and have the support of a Board equally dedicated to improving industry standards"
BRIDGEWATER, NJ, January 15, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On January 1, 2014, the New Jersey Warehouseman and Mover's Association (NJWMA) welcomes its new President, Mark Quinn, to the table. Owner of All Jersey Moving & Storage, which has been a member of the NJWMA for 15 years, Quinn has a long history with the Association. A board member since 2002, Quinn has held the position of Secretary, Treasurer, 2nd Vice President and Vice President of the Association.
Culminating the journey, President is a fitting next step. "I'm honored to step up to the plate and have the support of a Board equally dedicated to improving industry standards," Quinn said. With extensive industry experience, board members like Quinn volunteer their time to benefit NJWMA members, vendors and the industry as a whole.
No stranger to the industry, moving is in Quinn's blood. Growing up in the moving business working for his father and uncle who owned their own companies, he started All Jersey Moving and Storage at age 23 with one 15' box truck.
Now "full grown," Quinn's company offers residential and commercial local and long distance moving services as well as containerized storage at its Bridgewater, NJ warehouse.
Interacting with both statewide and national organizations, the NJWMA acts as an invaluable advisor by gathering and delivering beneficial information about new state regulations, policy changes, products and technologies to its members.
The NJWMA provides members with the opportunity to attend training seminars, save money on everyday services, and network with their peers at the local and national level. "We keep our members up -to-date on changes and advancements in the industry," Quinn says.
Under Quinn's leadership, the Association will liaise between its members and federal, state and local agencies as well as Congress. Members also have the opportunity to advertise to NJWMA's membership and prospective customers at nominal rates on the Association's website, magazine, and newsletter.
When asked about plans for the New Year, Quinn expressed his intention to build consumer awareness and highlight problems that arise with rogue movers. He also hopes to generate a lead form on the Association website allowing consumers to communicate directly with their mover of choice.
With Quinn in the driver's seat, NJWMA members can expect some exciting changes and advancements in the New Year.
