Southern Petroleum Laboratories, Inc. Announces New Corporate Measurement Specialist

    HOUSTON, TX, May 12, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lowell Chapman has been promoted to Corporate Measurement Specialist for Southern Petroleum Laboratories, Inc., an industry leader in oil and gas measurement, hydrocarbon lab analysis, allocations, and auditing services.

Lowell will report to Joe Landes, Executive Vice President, Technical Services Group. Joe stated, "We are enthusiastic about his new role and believe it aligns with SPL's current operational structure."

Lowell joined SPL in 1978 and has served as the Director of Field Services for the Carencro, Louisiana facility and, most recently, Director of Operations for its Pleasanton, Texas facility. In the new position, he will be instrumental in refining liquid measurement training, meter proving operations, and business development in the Eagle Ford Shale and Permian Basin areas of Texas.

"We believe that this change will allow SPL to focus some of the best measurement talent--found in Lowell--on the needs of the Eagle Ford and Permian Basin areas," said Christopher Frier Brown, President of SPL.
