Drew Dwyer has been involved in the nursing field for more than 25 years
NOOSAVILLE, BC, June 04, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Australasian College of Care Leadership & Management Associate Professor, Drew Dwyer, has been recognized for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in research and training in care leadership and management.
Drew Dwyer has been involved in the nursing field for more than 25 years. He has spent his early career in the military nursing field including active service in war zones. He is the Principal Consultant in Gerontology of the Australasian College of Care Leadership & Management (a branch of Frontline Care Solutions Group dedicated to providing education, training and research in care management and leadership). Drew Dwyer is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of the University of Queensland School of Nursing and Midwifery.
The Frontline organization keeps the challenging aspects of the care sector at the forefront of its efforts, and applies a holistic approach to the services it provides. As such, the Australasian College of Care Leadership & Management finds the performance outcomes achieved by its clients to be ultimately gratifying. Due to the organization's understanding of the care sector and the individualized attention its clients need, the staff is able to provide cost-effective and custom-tailored solutions to compliment the operational budgets of organisational or individual clients.
Throughout his time with the FCS Group and the Australasian College of Care Leadership & Management, Drew Dwyer has been able to maximize his knowledge of educating other clinicians in non-pharmacological management of complex and challenging behaviors in elderly individuals. As such, he utilizes this expertise in responsibilities, such as overseeing a team of clinical nurse consultants and providing effective solutions for aged-care and community care sectors.
In order to prepare for his career, Drew Dwyer earned a Bachelor of Science (nursing), a Bachelor of Applied Social Sciences, a Masters in Clinical Science, and in completion stage of a Ph.D. (med) from the Joanna Briggs Institute. He made the decision to enter his current profession due to his earlier experiences as a nurse working in aged-care organizations, where he noticed a large gap in governance. Drew Dwyer attributes the success he has found in all of his endeavors to his perseverance.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Drew Dwyer was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, and also maintains affiliation with the Australian College of Nursing and Australian Counselling Association. Looking toward the future, Associate Prof. Dwyer intends to establish the Australasian College of Care Leadership & Management so it is recognized on an international level for its programs in education involving clinical leadership.
