For the past two years, Ms. Strauss has utilized her expertise in hospitality to drive the success of Forest Creek Bed & Breakfast in Caledon, Ontario, Canada. On a daily basis, she brings to the table her extensive knowledge of fine dining, excellent service and hospitality management. Additionally, she is tasked with socializing, running the Bed and Breakfast, providing guests with lists of where to dine out, booking reservations, serving full breakfasts with freshly baked goods, dropping off hikers at the nearby Bruce Trail and ensuring customers enjoy their stay.

Recently named a Top Female Executive in her field (2014), and a VIP by Worldwide Branding (2013), Ms. Strauss attributes her success to her and her husband's faith in God and persistence in overcoming problems and carefully listening to the needs of their customers. She became involved in her profession in hotel management because she and her husband wanted a business which would make good use of their social skills and keep them in step with the community. Consequently, they found that opening a Bed and Breakfast was a perfect fit for them as they both enjoy meeting people and being in the service industry.

Well equipped to thrive in her field, Ms. Strauss started her journey in hospitality at the young age of 14 working in her father's restaurant in St. Thomas, Ontario. which was part of his retirement project. After leaving school in Ottawa and during the time she was raising her children, she attended and received a Diploma in Hotel Management from George Brown College and afterwards served as Supervisor in The Wittles fine dining restaurant at the Delta Chelsea Inn for three years before moving on to become a Site Security Supervisor in the Hospitality District of Toronto with Intercon Security and Allied Properties. Later, after serving eight years with Commissionaires at the Toronto Pearson Airport amongst other venues and in Alarm Response, she and her husband bought a property in Caledon in anticipation of going back into hospitality. Along with several courses in Bed and Breakfast, in addition, she and her husband A. J. have been members of the Federation of Ontario Bed & Breakfast Accommodation since 2012. Since then, she and her husband have worked tirelessly to develop a property that boasts five lovely gardens with a lovely oval shaped in-ground heated outdoor pool on a three-acre expanse. They are currently enclosing their back deck to provide customers with an idealic outside view of gardens, lush green grass, trees and a creek so that guests will not be bothered by seasonal flies and mosquitoes while eating their breakfast. Their 3000 square foot log cabin was originally called a Toronto Home as the logs came from an old schoolhouse north of them and the centre section of the cabin was built with recycled bricks from old warehouses that used to dot the Toronto lake front at the turn of the century. Guests staying in the Forest Creek Bed and Breakfast cabin enjoy a unique experience of yesteryear with modern amenities.
