With nearly a decade of experience in the medical field, Dr. Wagner has found professional success as an interventional radiologist. His extensive knowledge across the medical field includes expertise in cancer care, minimally invasive cancer treatments and a variety of endovascular and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Wagner is an expert in treating a variety of complex cancers and can include those affecting the liver, pancreas, lung, bone, kidneys, and other organs. Dr. Wagner's daily work routine consists of offering one-on-one patient care, educating patients and colleagues, and performing a variety of minimally invasive cancer treatments, all while continually learning new techniques and advancements in medicine that can help his patients. His patients benefit daily from minimally invasive treatments such as; Y90 radioembolization, chemoembolization, microwave ablation, radiofrequency ablation, coblation and vertebroplasty. Dr. Wagner is also one of few interventional radiologists nationwide to perform irreversible electroporation of pancreatic and other tumors.
Dr. Wagner formerly held several positions in hospitals and private practices in and around the Philadelphia area, including Doylestown Hospital and Parlee & Tatem Radiologic Associates Ltd. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Wagner has authored articles in the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Radiology, the Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, and the Journal of the Pennsylvania Academy of Sciences, as well as a book chapter in Abrams Angiography. He has also delivered several lectures nationally.
Dr. Wagner was exposed to the medical field while battling a childhood illness and immediately became interested in the industry. He is the first in his family to have pursued a career in the medical field and chose interventional radiology because it has enabled him to be actively involved with various patient populations and conditions.
With multiple degrees and training under his belt, including a MD from Jefferson Medical College, an internship with the University of Pennsylvania Health System, a Radiology residency and Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Dr. Wagner's extensive experience and dedication to one-on-one care have led him to professional success. He has certifications in diagnostic radiology, as well as vascular and interventional radiology, which were both earned through the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Wagner was recently inducted into The American Registry for his accomplishments and also maintains affiliations with the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American College of Phlebotomy, and American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Wagner has won numerous awards, including the RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award, Society of Interventional Radiology Scientific Program Award, Humanism in Medicine Award, and America's Top Radiologists. He has also been recognized in Philadelphia Magazine for four years as a Top Doctor in Philadelphia and a top vascular and interventional radiology doctor.
