For two decades, Jo Heron has garnered expertise, experience and respect within the food processing industry. Starting out as a marketing manager at Summit Foods Limited, Jo transitioned into a sales and business development role for Campbell Soup Company. As she established her footprint in the industry, she welcomed the opportunity to manage the foodservice division for E.D. Smith including all general manager responsibilities. A move with her late husband took her to Vancouver and a role as director Western Canada for Nabisco. In the next two years, Nabisco would be acquired by Kraft, which opened up opportunities for segment business development managers within Club Channel, Industrial Food Processors, Retail HMR, In-store Bakery and Fresh Departments. The teams she has worked with and developed have enabled her to contribute significantly to the sustainability and profitability of major brands.

Ms. Heron left her corporate roles behind in early 2014 and pursued her lifelong goal of establishing her own consulting business dedicated to the food manufacturing industry.
