SALT LAKE CITY, UT, December 05, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "Right now, we are in desperate need of ALL SUPPLIES," says Pastor Wayne Wilson, Executive Director of Salt Lake City Mission. "Presently we are expecting record numbers of families coming for help, and I don't remember ever seeing the donations so low," exclaimed Pastor Wilson. Salt Lake City Mission has been serving many of the most vulnerable men, women, and children for over 21 years.
"We are trying to make sure everyone coming for help gets much needed food, clothing hygiene items, help, love and hope," said Pastor Joe Vazquez. "We want to be optimistic and see every need met, once again," exclaimed Pastor Wilson. Salt Lake City Mission will be hosting multiple community meals as well as their annual Christmas Food Box Give-Away, Christmas Dinner for the homeless on Christmas Day and the New Beginnings New Year's Day Celebration for the homeless. Our call to ACTION is simple "The Lord Hath Need, Share Your Christmas and help us feed hungry people, clothe the naked and share our Christmas with those who without our help will not have a Christmas at all." Pastor Wayne said it best, "No one should go hungry or be alone in our society especially this time of year." The Lord Jesus said: "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40.
