National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Madieu Williams as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry

    RIVERSIDE, MD, January 05, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Madieu Williams, President of the Madieu Williams Foundation, has been selected as an Executive of the Year Member of National Association of Distinguished Professionals. The selection recognizes Madieu William's commitment to excellence in Non-Profit.

Founded in 2006, Madieu Williams Foundation was formed as a grassroots 501c3 non-profit organization serving the Cincinnati, Ohio area. Now recognized internationally for their work, President Madieu Williams and his team focus on education, health, and fitness for underprivileged youth in the United States and Sierra Leone. Committed to improving the quality of life and helping people to live better lives, the organization has implemented numerous projects over the years, including the Abigail D. Butscher Primary School in Calabatown, Sierra Leone, as well as yearly mission trips to the country, providing free education, medical, and dental services. In 2012, the organization built solar panels after teaming up with engineering students at the University of Maryland, bringing electricity to the people of Calabatown.

"I love what I do every day and was always encouraged by my mother to give back and care for others," Mr. Williams said. "It is a mantra that has carried me to where I am today. Making a difference in the lives of tomorrow's future leaders gives me tremendous satisfaction."

Assisting with the organizational development, fundraising, and strategic planning of his foundation, Mr. Williams also sponsors an annual football clinic in his hometown of Maryland as a former NFL football player. He also facilitates free health screenings and is credited with building a playground in September 2011 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Mr. Williams played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Redskins. He is a member of the American Public Health Association, National Black MBA, and National Football League Alumni. He is also the recipient of the 2012 NFL Walter Peyton Man of the Year Award for his work in the community and was recognized in 2008 as Top Forty Under Forty by 'Cincinnati Business Magazine'. He holds a BS in Family Science and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
