Designer of New Luxury Handbag Line Aims to Spread Message of Unity Through Fashion

Bearing the tagline "I am you and you are me. One love and unity," HYM, which stands for His, Hers, Yours and Mine, features a line of leather handbags designed by Christina Di Pede. Di Pede's mission is create fashions that merge genders and dispel illusions of separation.

All HYM luxury bags are designed in Canada and manufactured in New York using supple Italian leather and velvety soft baby calf hair. Each bag is made with care and attention to detail, with an integrity of materials and craftsmanship that allow the bags to stand on their own. Di Pede seeks out materials to fashion HYM handbags that maintain their natural integrity, including Italian leathers with their natural luster and softness.

The designer luxury handbags, which are already making a splash in the Toronto fashion scene, were featured this holiday season on Global News Canada's Morning Show and were available for sale at the Christmas Pop-Up market at Yonge-Dundas Square.

HYM Handbags from the Wonder Land collection of Spring and Summer 2015 are now available for pre-order online, to be shipped in February.

About Christina Di Pede
Born and raised in Toronto, Canadian designer Christina Di Pede graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Sociology degree, and then went on to complete the Fashion Merchandising and Marketing program at Toronto's International Academy of Design. Shortly after graduation, she began to independently research and develop her HYM brand, ultimately creating platform from which she could exercise her passion for design while giving the gift of inspiration and empowerment to others.
