Barbara Marlow to Serve as Director of Rescue Liaison and Paula Cooper as Director of Multi-Breeds Liaison

"All dogs being bred for profit deserve to be treated kindly and humanely, and to be bred using only medically sound practices."

ATLANTA, GA, January 08, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Reform Canine Breeding and Auctions (RCBA), a new advocacy group with plans to register and regulate commercial dog breeders, has named key members of its community building team.

Felissa Elfenbein will serve as RCBA's Director of Social Media and Technology. She is currently Blogger Outreach and Communications Manager at BlogPaws and Social Media Community Specialist at Two Little Cavaliers. Elfenbein holds an MBA in Operations Management from American Intercontinental University and a Bachelor of Arts from Yeshiva University.

"It's not about me or about you. This effort really is all about the dogs," said Elfenbein. She believes her experience building communities for pet owners will be useful in building online support for registering commercial dog breeders.

"All dogs being bred for profit deserve to be treated kindly and humanely, and to be bred only using medically sound practices," said Elfenbein. "That's the goal we're here to accomplish," said the social media maven.

Barbara Marlow will serve as RCBA's Director of Rescue Liaison. She has been active in Cavalier King Charles spaniel rescue for many years and is currently Texas Coordinator for Cavalier Rescue USA. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in accounting from Texas A&M and is a retired CPA.

"I'm excited about this effort to reform canine breeding because it really is about all dogs, regardless of breed," said Marlow. "As someone who works every day with rescue volunteers and matching dogs to homes, I feel I will be effective at getting other rescue groups to work with us," noted Marlow.

Paula Cooper of Colleyville, Texas, will serve as VP of Multi-breed Liaison. She has had a 20-year career in human resources that has included senior positions with Santander Consumer USA, Southwest Airlines and American Airlines. Paula holds a BBA from Northwood University and an AA from Tarrant County Community College.

Paula is passionate about animal rescue and works finding forever homes for Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apsos as a volunteer for Tzu Zoo, a small-dog rescue in Dallas-Fort Worth. "Being part of RCBA is my way of giving back and honoring the many wonderful dogs that have been part of my life," said Cooper.

RCBA will hold its first organizational meeting on January 17 in Dallas, TX. It is still seeking volunteers to fill leadership roles and social-media savvy volunteers to do online outreach. To volunteer or get email updates, visit reformcaninebreedersandacutions.com.
