TAMPA, FL, January 30, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Following an extensive national search, the board of directors for the University Area Community Development Corporation (UACDC) has named Sarah Combs its Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Combs most recently served as the organization's interim CEO after working as the COO overseeing all programming aspects as well as its Chief Program and Marketing Officer where she managed the nearly $5 million Prodigy program.
"Sarah's vast experience in the nonprofit sector, along with her enthusiasm and dedication to the University Area community make her an ideal fit for our organization," said Chairman of the Board, Gene Marshall. "We are thrilled to have Sarah leading our strategic initiatives while also expanding the mission of the UACDC and improving the lives of the residents in this area."
A veteran of the nonprofit community, Combs previously worked as the Area Director for the Tampa Bay region of Best Buddies where she led statewide and local development strategies focusing on program and donor development functions as well as the management of government funding.
