LONG BEACH, CA, February 11, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gary R. Carlin, Founding Member and Senior Partner of Carlin & Buchsbaum, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in legal services.
A California native, Mr. Carlin has been serving his community as a legal professional for 45 years. With a solid background in the specific Held of employment law, he established his own firm as a sole practitioner, under the name of Law Offices of Gary R. Carlin, APC in 1977, and subsequently founded Carlin & Buchsbaum, LLP in 2004 and has worked tirelessly to lead to the firm's recognition in the area of employment litigation. In fact, Mr. Carlin's firm is one of the largest and most revered plaintiffs' employment litigation practices in Southern California, having achieved settlements of more than $100 million for its clients. Personally, Mr. Carlin handles a variety of diverse cases that pertain to racial, national origin, gender, sexual harassment and sexual orientation, age, disability and religious discrimination, wage and hour issues including unpaid overtime, misclassification as an independent contractor, denied meal and rest breaks, as well as retaliation for whistle blowing. Mr. Carlin received a JD in 1969 from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of California at Los Angeles. His professional affiliations include alignment with the State Bar of California's Labor and Employment Law Section, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Long Beach Bar Association. Mr. Carlin has also served as a panelist on the State Bar Review Department, as a compensated referee, and as a principal referee, and is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association.
In recognition of his career achievements, Mr. Carlin was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry. He is an AV Preeminent Attorney through Martindale-Hubbell and was nominated Best Lawyer in Long Beach by Forbes Magazine.
