Michele S. Katz Leads the Intellectual Property Law Firm Advitam IP LLC

    CHICAGO, IL, February 20, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michele Katz has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in intellectual property law. For the fourth year in a row, Michele has recently been named an Illinois Rising Star in her profession.

An attorney with the intellectual property law firm Advitam IP LLC, Ms. Katz brings 15 years of industry experience to aiding the firm's clientele. She draws on an expertise for intellectual property law, especially as it relates to litigation, licensing, and prosecution, to effectively manage and assist in running the operations of the firm. Ms. Katz' entrepreneurial drive was fostered by her parents. Her father, A. Sidney Katz, founded the IP law firm Welsh & Katz.

Ms. Katz holds a JD from the Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology. Although she holds a significant academic background, she attributes her success to her drive and the excellent mentors she has had over the years.

She is the President-Elect of the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and takes on the role of President on July 1, 2015. Michele also belongs to the Illinois and Minnesota State Bar Associations, as well as the District of Columbia Bar. Ms. Katz devotes her free time to The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) and to her husband and three children.
