He has served as a guest speaker and visiting professor for various acclaimed educational institutions and industry-related associations.

    PHILADELPHIA, PA, February 27, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert H. Rosenwasser MD, FACS, FAHA, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in neurological surgery.

Dr. Rosenwasser has been practicing medicine for nearly four decades. Currently, he serves as Professor and Chairman of Neurosurgery, Training Program Director, Professor of Radiology, Director of the Division of Cerebrovascular Surgery and Interventional Neuroradiology, and Director of the Brain Aneurysm and AVM Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Rosenwasser also serves as Medical Director of Jefferson Neuroscience Network and Director OF clinical operations for the Farber Institute for Neuroscience. He is recognized as one of the world leaders uniquely specialized as both a cerebrovascular neurosurgeon and an interventional neuroradiologist. In addition, he performs radiosurgical treatments of arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) in the Division. His research interests include cerebrovascular neurosurgery, interventional neuroradiology, and Radiosurgery for AVMs as well as basic research involving stem cells role in stroke recovery. He has served as a guest speaker and visiting professor for various acclaimed educational institutions and industry-related associations.

Dr. Rosenwasser received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1979 and completed his residency at Temple University Hospital and his fellowship at New York University Medical Center and the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Board certified in neurological surgery, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Heart Association.

In recognition of his accomplishments, he was named a Vitals Top 10 Doctor in the Metro Area and received a Vitals Patients Choice award in 2014. He was also named a Compassionate Doctor and was recognized by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.

Looking ahead, Dr. Rosenwasser will continue to be involved in the leadership of the Neuroscience Institute at Jefferson and watching it grow through the collective efforts of many physician and scientists.
